Half Demon/ Half Angel Character
A few images of my original character. She's been through a lot so here are some images of her over the year(s). My art style has changed pretty drastically, for the better I'd say. Wish I had more exact dates for each piece but the oldest is about 1,5 years old.
I decided to redraw a somewhat old picture of her to see my current progress. Have started to learn more about colors and lighting. I'm quite proud of this one.
The first attempted remake. I didn't like the saturation on the old version so I tried fixing it. I also added some shading to the face.
The first version of the image. I struggled a lot with her hair color. Her face also looks very flat but I do like the feathers and darker skin detail. The shape of her bangs are also an aspect I quite like.

An attempt at a more neon and bright color palette using the old concept as a reference. Think it turned out pretty cool, but it does burn my eyes.
I always felt her design was lacking something. So, I thought since she is a half angel she should have feathery wings, but what if it had been mutated because of the demon half? So feathers growing chaotically all over her. I liked the idea, so tried it.
Since I liked the feather concept I stuck with it, but I felt like her skin should also be affected by it. Kind of like a burn or rash. I also tested giving her short hair, since she's quite an active character.
My latest drawing of her. Tried using a different brush then what I'm used to for a more textured look. Also challenged myself to not use the mirror tool. I really like the expression, fits her well.
